Dear friends and colleagues,

      Below you can find short overview and photos from the fifteenth international conference National Forum on Maitnenance 2016, that took place from 31st May to 31st June 2016 traditionally in the hotel Patria at Štrbské Pleso.
      The conference is an event where managers and specialists in maintenance, representatives of leading companies offering services for maintenance, representatives of wide range of industries as well as experts from academic sphere meet together.

      Importance of the conference has been confirmed by permanently high numebr of domestic and foreign participants. Number of participants in this year was a record during in the whole history since the year 2000 and the lsit of participants reach the number226, out of whichho 177 from Slovakia and 49 foreigners - traditionally most from the Czach Republic - 38, Austria - 6, Poland - 3 and Germany - 2.

      The conference continued again in the established model of one and half day conference. On the second day afternoon there were accompanying specialised seminars. There were 30 presentations held during the conference programme, less than in preceeding years, with the aim to provide more space for the speakers. Substantial part of presentations was about the solutions and products offered by the conference partners. The conference programme can be found in the end of the page.

      Substantial part of presentations was about the solutions and products offered by the conference partners. Among partners' presentations some general topics ond trends, relaibility and maintenance costs were included. Again attention was paid to safety and risks in maintenance. SSU supported Campaign EU OSHA - Haelathy workplaces for all ege categories. Information technologies were focused more on new trends such as "Industry 4.0" and "IoT - Internet of Thning". Special presentation in the end of the first day was about use of drones in prctice, when ther was a live show outside the hotel Patria followed by presentation and discussion in the conference hall. On the second day, as it is traditional, presentations were on the topics of technical diagnostics and predictive maintenance methods as well as advanced maitenance technologies.
      During the conference opening SSU gives incentive awards for contributions to maintenance development in Slovakia. From 2003 it is the SSU award "Maintainer of the Year“. In this yeat it was granted to Ing. Štefan Hladký, holding his last position as a general director of Chemstroj Stážske
      For the thiteenth time the "SSU award for master thesis" was awarded to Ing. Lukáš Zelenaj, graduate from the TF SPÚ Nitra, for the diploma work entitled: "Influence of lubrication oils on vibrations of technologic equipment“. The diploma work was elaborated within the project "Univerity students to practice" for eustream, a.s. under supervision of doc. Ing. Viera Peťková, PhD. from this company and doc. Ing. Jozef Žarnovský, PhD. from TF SPU Nitra as a tutor.
